EFA Delegation pay visit to Xanthi Minority Secondary and High School

The delegation, which is in Greece as the guest of FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu, is holding meetings with the Western Thrace Turkish Minority institutions. Within this framework, the delegation also visited the Minority Secondary School and High School in Xanthi.

Regarding the visit to the Minority High School, the delegation released a statement on its social media account.

The statements include the following: 

"On March 31, 2023, the President of the FEP Party Çiğdem Asafoğlu and her guests, EFA President Lorena López de Lacalle Arizti, EFA Vice President Frank de Boer, EFA Political Affairs Officer Paul Butcher and EFA Social Media and Election Propaganda Officer Llŷr Williams paid a visit to our school.

FEP Party President Asafoğlu and the EFA delegation were accompanied by Pervin Hayrullah, Director General of BAKEŞ and Kerem Abdurrahimoğlu, Deputy Director General of BAKEŞ. The delegation was welcomed at the school by Ahmet Kara, Chairman of the Council, Bilal Budur, Member of the Council, Selçuk Fehmi, Principal and Eva Steryanidou, Assistant Principal. The delegation inspected the classrooms and the garden of the school and received important information from Mr. Kara about the history of the school and especially about the building problem.

We would like to thank the President of the FEP Party Çiğdem Asafoğlu for the visit to our school by such an important organization as EFA, which has MPs in the European Parliament, and for the important contributions to the realization of this visit. We hope that the senior officials of our country will pay attention to our chronic problems in the coming period with the same sensitivity as such high-level officials from Europe pay attention to our problems."
