Eastern Macedonia-Thrace Region launches "outward expansion office” to support businesses
The Eastern Macedonia-Thrace Region has launched a new institutional support mechanism, the “Outward Expansion Office,” aimed at helping regional businesses strengthen their export capacity and establish a stronger presence in international markets.
The initiative is designed to provide comprehensive assistance to companies seeking to enter new markets, expand export activities, and build international partnerships.
Operating as part of the region’s broader economic and internationalization strategy, the office will work in coordination with the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Enterprise Greece, and Export Credit Greece.
Regional officials said the primary objective is to increase the international visibility of products and services originating from Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, attract investment, and boost exports.
Services Offered to Businesses
Through the new office, businesses will receive support in the following areas:
- Guidance on international markets and export procedures,
- Advisory support on certification processes and business opportunities,
- Facilitating connections with commercial attachés abroad and international partners,
- Information on international trade fairs and business delegations,
- Training programs, seminars, and workshops,
- Access to export-oriented digital tools and resources.
In addition, a dedicated “Announcements” section will regularly inform businesses about the region’s participation in international fairs, promotional activities, and new cooperation opportunities.
The regional administration emphasized that the platform is expected to strengthen the regional economy and accelerate the integration of local businesses into global markets.
