Delegation of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board visits Ankara

A delegation from the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board is conducting an official visit to Ankara.
As part of their program, which began on Wednesday, November 5, the delegation met with Türkiye’s Minister of National Education, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current situation of minority schools in Western Thrace, recent developments in the field of education, and the challenges faced by minority education. The delegation conveyed the community’s needs and exchanged views with Minister Tekin.
The group also paid a visit to the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), where they met with the newly appointed President, Prof. Dr. Safi Arpaguş, extending their best wishes for success in his new role.
The delegation’s official contacts in Ankara are scheduled to continue today and tomorrow.
