Consul General Aykut Unal was the guest of kinsmen from Meriç
Consul General Aykut Ünal, who visited the Büyük Derbent village, was welcomed by the people of the region in the best way possible.
Consul General Unal had a conversation with the people of Meriç who showed interest in him at the Meriç Branch of the Western Thrace Mosques Religious Officials Association, chaired by Abdurahim Kuru, before the Friday prayer.
Later, the Consul General and his kinsmen, who went to the mosque, listened to the sermon of the Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şerif before the prayer.
After the sermon, Consul General Aykut Ünal took the floor and gave a speech to the kinsmen. He expressed his pleasure to meet with them.
After the speech, the Consul General, his entourage, and his kinsmen stood in line and prayed together at the Friday prayer led by religious officer Mehmet Bölükbaşı.
After the prayer, Consul General Ünal said goodbye to our compatriots in Büyük Derbent village, then went to Tağıl village and attended the lunch given in honor of Seçek Minority Education and Culture Association.
After having dinner with the association executives, Consul General Unal chatted with them for a while.
Consul General Aykut Ünal was accompanied by Deputy Consul Barış Çulha, BTTADK President and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif and President of Komotini Turkish Youth Union Sedat Hasan, while the opinion leaders of the region Hasan Apti, Mehmet Koç, Apti Pencal, Ahmet Paşa, DMT from Çilingir Mahalle State Assembly Member Candidate Mehmet Çilingir, Dimetoka Muslims Education and Culture Association President Süleyman Macır, SEÇEK Minority Education and Culture Association President Necmettin Kahya, board member Faruk Çakır and Hüseyin Pencal were also present.
