Consul General Aykut Unal emrace with kinsmen from Şahin
Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Komotini, who visited Şahin village of Mustafçova Municipality in Xanthi, was greeted with enthusiasm by kinsmen. The kinsmen from Şahin showed great interest to Consul General Aykut Ünal and Vice Consul Barış Çulha.
Turkey's Consul General to Komotini, Aykut Ünal, together with the Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, visited the Şahin village of the Mustafçova Municipality of Xanthi on Friday, 17 February, met with fellow citizens and performed the Friday prayer in the Şahin village Karacaahmet mosque.
Consul General Ünal came together with his kinsmen and prayed together for the citizens who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which is described as the "disaster of the century" in Türkiye.
Later, Consul General Aykut Ünal and his entourage attended the dinner given by Şahin Education and Culture Association.
During his visit to Şahin village, Consul General Aykut Ünal, Vice Consul Barış Çulha, Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, DMT Region Councilor Rıdvan Kurak and Serkan Mahmut, Mustafçova Mayor Rıdvan Delihüseyin, Western Thrace Minority President Higher Education Association Hüseyin Baltacı, Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Şahin Education and Culture Association Vice President Eyüp Aguş, Xanthi former Deputy Governor Musa Vidinli, Mustafçova Municipality main opposition list leaders Ahmet Kurt, Cemil Kabza and Mücahid Dukkancı, Millet Newspaper Cengiz Ömer, the General Editorial Director and the President of the Çınar Association, Bilal Budur, the Editorial Coordinator of Millet Newspaper, the imams and religious officials of Şahin village, the Staff of the Xanthi Mufti and many cognates.
Expressing his pleasure to be in Şahin village, Consul General Ünal stated that he knows the village of Şahin and the excitement of Şahin village closely and that he wants to experience this excitement, and that he wishes to come to Şahin village many times on this occasion. Consul General Unal also conveyed his thanks to the ladies from Şahin who contributed to the treat.
