The works of the Painting - Ceramics - Quilling course operating under the umbrella of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union were exhibited at the association's club.
The exhibition opening, prepared from the works by the children participating in the Painting - Ceramics - Quilling courses operating under the umbrella of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB), took place on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the club of the association.
The event started with the speech of GTGB President Sedat Hasan. In his speech, President Sedat Hasan said, “The aim of our courses is to reveal the existing culture, art and hand skills in the community, to introduce them to our people and to improve the hand skills of our youth and to bring them into Turkish community as conscious and successful individuals in their future lives. Another important point is that by enabling our children to spend quality social time under the roof of our association, it is aimed to prevent bad habits they can acquire. At this point, our mission is to reach our children as much as possible by increasing the number of our social activity courses.”
President Hasan thanked all the trainees, especially the course instructors Aslı Ali, Zeynep Tevfikoğlu, and Sibel Gülistan, who contributed to the organization of the exhibition.
Afterwards, Course Instructors Aslı Ali, Zeynep Tevfikoğlu, and Sibel Gülistan each made a greeting speech and thanked the students who attended their classes throughout the year and the parents who tirelessly brought them to the classes.
Lastly, Neslihan Altan, Consul of Turkey in Komotini, made a greeting speech and emphasized the importance of handicraft courses for the intelligence and hand development of young children.
