Caner Imam: The attack on cemetery is a shame on humanity
Yassıköy Mayoral Candidate and President of the UNITY List, Lawyer Caner Imam condemned the attack on the cemetery in Narlıköy. He stated that what was done is a shame of humanity.
In his statement on the attack on the cemetery on his social media account, the mayoral candidate Caner Imam expressed his sadness over the breaking of the gravestones and stated the following in his statement.
"I have learnt with regret that the Muslim cemetery in Narlıköy, one of the important villages of our Yassıköy Municipality, was attacked and the stones of many graves were broken. Places of worship and cemeteries are sacred and valuable regardless of which religion and community they belong to. Therefore, ugly attacks on these places are a shame on humanity. They are shameful acts. I strongly condemn those who organised the attack. I would like to state that such incidents aimed at disturbing the peace in our region will never reach their goal."
