BTTÖB "Israel massacres innocent people in front of the eyes of the world"

Western Thrace Turkish Teachers Union of Western Thrace (BTTÖB), reacting to the massacre of innocent Palestinian Muslims in Gaza in front of the eyes of the world for days, condemned the Israeli state that committed genocide with a statement.

"The State of Israel systematically massacres innocent people in front of the eyes of the whole world, disregarding international law, and not only Palestinians but also humanity is dying in Gaza", BTTÖB said in its written statement and emphasised the following points.

"Unfortunately, human dignity is being slaughtered in front of our eyes. Today, there is no bread, no water, no electricity, no medicine, even no air to breathe in Palestine. There has been death, occupation, blood and tears in Palestine for years. The State of Israel systematically massacres innocent people in front of the eyes of the whole world, disregarding international law, and not only Palestinians but also humanity is dying in Gaza. No one hears, sees and voices the cry of innocent people.

The time to put a stop to this human tragedy in Gaza has come and gone. We condemn and curse not only Israel, which has been slaughtering civilians for days without saying elderly, women and children, violating the law of war, but also those who are bystanders to the massacre and those who justify Israel's oppression.

This cruelty of Israel, which even sees no harm in hitting the hospital where the wounded are treated and where hundreds of civilians take shelter as a safe zone, must be stopped immediately. It is not possible to establish peace and tranquility in the world without ending the occupation, lifting the blockade and stopping the massacres in Palestine. We do not know whether we are aware of it or not, but the world is rapidly running towards the 3rd World War. We find it extremely thought-provoking that the international organisations, which have made values such as democracy, freedom, and human rights a part of their language, prefer silence instead of taking action. For this reason, we demand and expect the UN Security Council to take action and international mechanisms such as NATO and the EU to urgently say 'stop' to this dirty game."
