Big shock to Palco factory workers in Komotini
The workers of the underwear factory palco, which continued its activities until last Saturday in the Komotini industrial zone, were shocked. They were shocked to witness the loading of the manufactured goods and construction equipment in the factory where they worked for years, by the boss.
With the emergence of the economic crisis, the palco factory, whose number of workers decreased to 12, was closed. The 12 workers who suffered from the closure of the factory have to receive approximately 70 thousand euros.
The factory boss, who was flying the bankruptcy flag, wanted to secretly smuggle the manufactured goods and construction machinery in the absence of the workers, causing a great shock to the workers.
After completing his duty on the last shift on Saturday at the weekend, the factory was locked. The boss, so to speak, was “caught stealing his own property.”
One of the victim palco workers called MİLLET newspaper and explained the shocking event as follows: “We have been working here for a long time. We see that the factory has not been doing well lately. The total workforce shortage has dwindled and we are left with only 12. We have receive a total of 70 thousand euros. On Saturday, the friends on the last night shift completed their shifts and closed the factory.
We got the news that the factory, which was locked in the early hours of the morning, was standing by the trucks. We immediately rushed there. We thought it was theft.
We could not believe it. Our boss was stealing the goods we produce and loading them into cars. As if that wasn't enough, he disassembles the work machines and loads them on the trucks. We immediately informed the police. We argued, of course. The Police came. The police released him after he proved that his property belonged to him. Goods and construction equipment are gone before our eyes. We put our own vehicles on the doors and tried to prevent it.
Unfortunately, we could not prevent it. We have 70 thousand euros to receive. We invited the labor inspector to the scene. He came, talked, but we understood that he could not do anything.
Unfortunately we are confused. We do not intend to leave a penny of our receivables. We will now seek our rights in justice through our lawyers.”
