“Being a Woman in the Balkan Region” project underway
The third week of the implementation of the project, which is jointly organized by the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association and the Xanthi Mufti, took place.
The third week meeting of the project was held on Wednesday, March 9 at Şahin (Echinos) Karaca Ayşe Cultural Center. The event was held under the umbrella of Şahin Education and Culture Association.
The project continued in Gökçepınar (Glafki) and Ketenlik (Kentavros) villages on Saturday, March 12, within the scope of the 3rd week presentations.
A presentation was made by Hülya Giritli, the preacher of the Xanthi mufti, and Münevver Ago, a pediatrician.
Preacher Hülya Giritli talked about Islamic practices based on modern education methods. On the other hand pediatrist Münevver Ago informed the participants about what needs to be done to raise healthy children, how to respond to children in emergencies, and especially about vaccination.
The information meetings held within the scope of the project are followed with great interest by the women of the region.
