‘Being a Woman in the Balkan Region’ participants meet at iftar dinner
The participants of the "Being a Woman in the Balkan Region" project, initiated by the Xanthi Mufti Office and the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (BTAYTD), came together at iftar dinner on Saturday, April 9th.
Volunteer women from the villages of Şahin (Echinos), Ketenlik (Kentavros) and Gökçepınar (Glafki), who took part in the project, as well as those who contributed to the project within the body of the Xanthi Mufti Office and BTAYTD, met in the iftar program.
In the Iftar dinner, Turkish Consul General in Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu, Xanthi Mufti Ahmet Mete, BTAYTD President Hüseyin Baltacı, Xanthi Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek, Mustafçova (Myki) Mayor Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin and Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu attended.
The Turkish Consul General of Komotini Mr. Murat Ömeroğlu in his social media account made the following statement: "We were together at iftar with the participants of the ‘Being a Woman in the Balkan Region’ project initiated by the Mufti of Xanthi and the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association. We thank them for their kind invitation and wish them success in their endeavours.”
