An interview was held in Komotini on ‘Turkish-Islamic Culture in the Balkans’

An interview about "Turkish Islam Culture in the Balkans" was held in Turkish Youth Association of Komotini. In the interview in which Asst. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Karakuş participated as a speaker, minority youth received important information about the Turkish Islamic culture in the Balkan geography.

The interview that took place in the Turkish Youth Union of Komotini on Tuesday, September 11 drew great interest, especially to the minority youth who are studying in universities.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Karakuş conveyed important information about the Turkish Islamic culture in the Balkans to listeners and showed many historical works as photographs related to Turkish Islamic culture.

Karakuş, who stated that "Balkans are the showcase of the civilization", also mentioned that in many points of Balkan geography there are remnants of Turkish Islamic culture, but over time 98% of those historical works have been destroyed in this geography. Today only 2% of them has remained, and they are possible o be seen in cities such as Mostar and Belgrad.

Karakuş said that in the balkans, innumerable works belonging to Turkish Islamic cultures were built but most of them were destroyed in time.
