Ali Salihoğlu commemorated in his village
Kırköy Culture and Education Association Ova Women's Branch gave a mawlid and dinner for Ali Salioğlu, Member of the Executive Board of Xanthi Turkish Union and Member of the Central Executive Committee of the FEP Party, at the İnhanlı village mosque of Xanthi on Friday, March 10.
The guests who attended the mawlid in the village of İnhanlı, where Ali Salihoğlu, who died at a young age last January, resides, was greeted by the family of Kırköy Association Plain Women's Branch Fatma Saliemin, ITB Vice President Sevil Şerifoğlu and Ali Salihoğlu.
In his sermon before the Friday prayer, Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa emphasized the importance of working for the benefit of society and contributing voluntarily and said that Ali Salihoğlu is an exemplary person in this sense.
After the Friday prayer, the guests were served food. Afterwards, religious officials of the plain region affiliated to the Xanthi Mufti sang mawlids and hymns.
After the prayer of Mufti Trampa, speeches began. Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, emphasized that Ali Salihoğlu brought together the kinsmen of Xanthi once again. Baltacı said, “Ali was not really a person to be forgotten. Before he passed away, we talked many times in Xanthi Hospital. Once again, I remember him with mercy and respect.”
In his speech, Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu said that they lost not only a manager of the association, but also a very valuable person whose heart was for the Turkish community of Western Thrace, for his village and region. "Despite his young age, our brother Ali, who has always dealt with social issues and is almost a litigator in this sense, passed away on January 29, the anniversary of the Western Thrace Turks' trial. Rest in peace. We will not forget him.” he used the phrases.
Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa said that although Ali Salihoğlu passed away at a young age, he left a very serious legacy behind. “If anyone asks what this legacy is, it is the love of the people he left behind, of us. That we remember him fondly. Ali was not a person to be easily forgotten. If nothing goes wrong in order to fulfill a promise we made to him, we will have the first iftar of Ramadan here in the village of İnhanlı. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to today's event.” he said.
Among those who attended the mawlid in Inhanlı village, FEP Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Xanthi Plain Region Brotherhood Association President Ömer Muzafferoğlu, Topiros Municipal Council Member Cem Salihoğlu, Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, BAKEŞ Deputy General Manager Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, Ali Salihoğlu's friends and relatives took part.
Ali Salihoğlu, who passed away at the age of 33 in Alexandroupolis Hospital on 29 January, was sent off on his last journey with a crowded funeral on 30 January.
