Ali Salihoğlu commemorated at his grave on the third anniversary of his passing

The commemoration was attended by Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union, along with members of the association’s executive board. Also present were Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the FEP (Friendship, Equality, Peace) Party, Gürhan Ömeroğlu, advisor to İskeçe MP Burhan Baran, Cem Salihoğlu, Municipal Council Member of İnhanlı, Fatma Sali Emin, Head of the Women’s Branch of the Kırköy Cultural, Educational and Sports Association (Ova), as well as numerous members of the local Turkish minority community.
Tribute to a Life of Service
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by speeches highlighting Ali Salihoğlu’s long-standing contributions to the Turkish minority of Western Thrace.
Speakers emphasized his commitment to community service, the responsibilities he undertook throughout his life, and his steadfast advocacy for minority rights, noting the lasting impact of his work on local institutions and civic life.
Participants also extended their condolences and solidarity to Salihoğlu’s family and relatives, honoring his memory with prayers and expressions of gratitude for his service.
