Agriculture Ministry responds to MP Baran’s parliamentary question on livestock aid in İskeçe
Independent MP of İskeçe, Burhan Baran, received an official response from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food regarding his parliamentary question (No. 5437 / 16.05.25) about livestock support aid in the region.
In his question, MP Baran highlighted the insufficiency of the aid provided to İskeçe due to the impact of animal diseases in the area. He pointed out that while other regions received €8 per animal, İskeçe only received €4, which he argued was unfair.
✅ Positive Update: Aid Increased to €14
In a written statement, MP Baran announced the Ministry’s response:
“The Ministry officially confirmed that the payment for İskeçe will also be increased to €8 per animal. Following continued efforts, it has now been officially raised to €14 per animal.”
He emphasized that this positive development is a significant step toward fairness for the region's farmers, attributing the outcome to persistent advocacy and follow-up efforts.
“I am pleased to share this news with our people. I will continue to stand by our producers, farmers, and community,” Baran concluded.
