Advisory Board pay a condolence visit to Consul General Ünal
The members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, during their visit, conveyed their condolences to Consul General Ünal for those who lost their lives in the earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 that caused major disasters in 10 provinces, including Kahramanmaraş in the homeland of Türkiye, on February 6, 2023.
The Advisory Board made a statement regarding the meeting where the earthquake victims who survived the disaster of the century were evaluated in the aid campaigns organized throughout Western Thrace.
The statement is as follows: "As a result of the devastating earthquakes that took place in Kahramanmaraş-centered in the Motherland Türkiye on February 6, 2023, we visited the Consul General of the Republic of Komotini, Mr. Aykut ÜNAL in his office and conveyed our best wishes. As a result of the disaster that took place, we, as the Advisory Board, visited all of Western Thrace. We consulted about the aid campaign we started. We are grateful to all the benefactors, especially the Western Thrace Turkish minority, who gave their shoulders to our call for help."
