A day of mourning for BIHLIMDER President Mehmet Emin Ahmet
The President of the Association of Graduates and Members of the Western Thrace Imam Hatip High School (BIHLIMDER), Mehmet Emin Ahmet, lost his mother, Zeynep Ahmetoğlu, on the morning of January 7, 2025, at her home in Bağlar District, Komotini.
Born in 1937, Zeynep Ahmetoğlu passed away at the age of 88. A funeral ceremony was held at her residence after the afternoon prayer, attended by family, neighbors, and friends, as well as those offering support to Mehmet Emin Ahmet on this sorrowful day.
Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif led prayers, and the attendees sought forgiveness for the deceased. The funeral procession then moved to Yenice Neighborhood Cemetery, where the funeral prayer was performed, and Zeynep Ahmetoğlu was laid to rest amid heartfelt prayers.
In a brief speech during the ceremony, Mehmet Emin Ahmet expressed his profound grief over losing his mother, emphasizing the priceless value of mothers. He offered prayers for the departed, wished health to the living, and extended heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him during this difficult time.
