9 people resign from SYRIZA Provincial Organisation in Rodopi
Nine board members resigned from the SYRIZA Provincial Organisation in Rodopi. The 13-member provincial organisation was thus dissolved due to lack of members.
SYRIZA Party Rodopi Provincial Organisation spokesperson Angeliki Kuyumcoğlu and 9 of the 13 members of the provincial organisation announced their resignation.
With the resignation petition jointly signed by 9 board members, SYRIZA Provincial Organisation of Rodopi was dissolved.
Aggeliki Kuyumcoğlu, Yusuf Özkan, Sofia Lionaki, Yorgos Lutatidis, Takis Mumtzidis, Muammer Mustafa, Ferhat Bilge, Özgür Ferhat and Ekrem Hasan signed the resignation petition together.
In the signed resignation petition, they emphasised the need to give time to the new president of SYRIZA, but announced their resignation due to their political views and discourses, their negative attitude towards former members of the party and their attitude towards former prime minister Alexis Tsipras.
SYRIZA Provincial Organisation in Rodopi has a total of 623 party members as of November 2023.
