3500 acres of irrigation canals maintenance work starts

Maintenance and repair works have started on the water channel in Kuruçay, located within the borders of Yassıköy Municipality, which was built in 1957 and was severely damaged by flooding in 2018.
It was stated that 3 thousand 500 decares of land in Yassıköy, Yalanca and Kara Musa were irrigated in the work initiated by the Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Region Presidency.
Rıdvan Hacı Mehmet, Vice President of the Eastern Macedonia - Thrace Region, made the following statements in his post on the subject: "The repair of the irrigation canals built in 1957 has started.
In 2018, it was severely damaged and not repaired. The previous state administration was insensitive to the problem and our farmers were left to their fate. With the initiatives of our state method, work has started to repair the canals serving 3500 acres of land in Yassıköy, Yalanca and Kara Musa villages. We wish good luck to our farmers and the people of the region."
