YTB: "70th Anniversary of the Great Migration" has been published as a book
The winners of the "70th Anniversary of the Great Migration/Disappearing City"-themed poetry, story, composition and painting competition have been announced. This competition work has been prepared and published as a book.
The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) has added a new service to the survival of Turkish in the Balkans. It published the works that participated in the "70th Anniversary of the Great Migration/Lost City" themed poetry, story, composition and painting competition held in North Macedonia.
YTB shared the following statements on the subject in its social media accounts:
"The winners of the "70th Year of the Great Migration/Disappearing City" themed poetry, story, and composition and painting competition for Turkish children living in the Balkans have been announced. The works participating in the competition have been collected in a book with the support of YTB."
According to Yenibalkan.com, on the occasion of February 21, World Mother Language Day, the "70th Anniversary of the Great Migration / LOST CITY", organized by Bahçe Magazine to improve the poetry, story, composition and painting skills of Turkish children from North Macedonia and Kosovo took part on 21th Feb. During the event the winners of the composition and painting competition have been announced.
The announcement and the promotion of the book, which includes the works participating in the competition was made.
In the program organized for the 4th time in Skopje, the students who ranked high presented their awards.
In addition, the poems, stories, compositions and pictures sent by the students are published. The book titled “Our Mother Tongue is Turkish 4-/70th Anniversary of the Great Migration/Lost CITY – Children's Poems, Stories, Compositions and Pictures” were promoted within the scope of the Genealogical Literature Support Program of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
Gönül Bayraktar, State Advisor to the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia, Zekeriya Hasip, Director of the Education Development Bureau, Turkish Embassy in Skopje Education Counselor Yakup Yıldız, TRT Macedonia Representative Ömer Rahmi Serim, teachers and students attended.
