Sayit Yusuf, who was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), took over from Bilal Çakıcı.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yasin Ekrem Serim and TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev attended the handover ceremony held at TURKSOY General Secretariat.

At the ceremony, Çam wished the new term to be auspicious and said: "The voice of the Turkic world is gradually spreading in the world as a beacon of hope. In the process that started with the establishment of the Organisation of Turkic States, many painful events have taken place and are taking place in our geography. The Republic of Türkiye is making important efforts to solve these problems. In this framework, I believe that such organisations, especially TURKSOY, will hopefully make more important contributions."

Emphasising that they have a duty to spread peace and tranquility in the world, Çam said: "Meetings, festivals, events, promotions, these are good. But we believe that this period should be more productive for this family to come together more frequently, to produce solutions, added values and to carry out some strategic studies."

Referring to the importance of change and transformation in institutions, Çam said that it should not be forgotten that every end is a new beginning.

Deputy Minister Çam also thanked TURKSOY member countries and organisations for their support after the earthquake.

"TURKSOY brings the Turkic world closer to each other"

Yasin Ekrem Serim stated that every task performed in TURKSOY is a service to the Turkic world and said: "TURKSOY brings the Turkic world closer to each other with the events it organises."

Serim invited all friendly and brotherly countries to support TURKSOY and hoped that TURKSOY would become more effective.

Raev, on his part, stated that he had the duty to explain that Turkic culture is an inseparable part of the world and added: "Dozens of events organised in the name of TURKSOY days have strengthened the unity of the hearts of the Turkic world."

Bilal Çakıcı said that the value of TURKSOY will be better understood in time and noted that TURKSOY needs to grow in every aspect.
Sayit Yusuf stated that they are working for the strengthening of the Turkic world and added: "We are all servants of the whole."
