The Ministry of National Education (MEB) of Turkey has announced a significant change in its new curriculum, replacing the term "Central Asia" with "Turkistan" in history education.
Experts emphasized that MEB's move signifies Turkey's commitment to reclaiming the historical and cultural significance of Turkistan. This shift is seen as crucial in raising future generations with a strong sense of Turkish identity, national consciousness, and patriotism.
In alignment with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision for the "Century of Türkiye," this initiative aims to continue the Turkish era and elevate the Turkic world as a rising global power. Erdoğan stressed the importance of unity and resilience in the face of challenges, calling for solidarity among Turkish leaders to ensure a strong and cohesive Turkic world.
