Alexandros Konstas, Consul General of Greece in Izmir, was the guest of Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce. During the visit of the guest, the continuation of cultural and commercial relations was emphasised.
Consul General of Greece in Izmir Alexandros Konstas was the guest of Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce. The Greek bureaucrat also visited Ayvalık District Governor Hasan Yaman and Municipality Minister Mesut Ergin in their offices in the district and gave the messages that he is ready to support all kinds of support to maintain cultural and commercial relations on both sides of the Aegean.
Consul General of Greece in Izmir Alexandros Konstas was accompanied by his wife Kostantina Konstas in his contacts in Ayvalık.
Alexandros Konstas, who first visited Mayor Mesut Ergin in his office in Ayvalık, wished success to Mayor Ergin, who was re-elected in the 31 March local elections.
The second stop of Greek Consul General of Izmir Alexandros Konstas in Ayvalık was for Ayvalık District Governor Hasan Yaman.
During the meetings, which were accompanied by Chamber of Commerce President Ali Uçar, Municipal Councilor Ali Jale, Chamber of Commerce board members and tourism guides, views were exchanged on the continuation of economic, social and cultural co-operation between the two coasts and the strengthening of ties between both peoples through cultural activities.
Konstas, who was hosted by ATO President Ali Uçar and ATO management, examined the visa application procedures for Greece at the door at Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce.
Alexandros Konstas, Consul General of Greece in Izmir, reminded that as a result of the agreement reached between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the visa at the door application for 5 islands in the Aegean Sea was increased to 10 islands.
Alexandros Konstas, Consul General of Greece in Izmir, expressed his satisfaction that Turks will have the opportunity to visit and see the Greek Islands with the Visa at the Gate application and emphasised that the problems related to the disruptions that occur from time to time in the appointment system will be solved by the company undertaking the software.
Alexandros Konstas also commented on ATO President Ali Uçar's reminder that some agency employees have experienced grievances during the Visa at the Gate application and said: "We are ready to do everything we can to solve all these problems. We have made the necessary initiatives for the Visa at the Gate application to be quicker. Apart from all these, I am ready to do my best to eliminate new problems that may be encountered."
