A message to Greece from Tayyip Erdogan
The President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a strong message to Greece regarding the issue of the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace. Erdogan said to Greece, who was uncomfortable with the use of the word "Turkish" in associations and schools in Western Thrace, "Come to your sense".
In his speech at the Extended Meeting of Provincial Chairmans at the headquarters of his party, Erdoğan made statements about Greece as well as Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority.
"The weapons piled up in Western Thrace and the islands do not make any sense to us. Our strength and possibilities are far beyond these, but we would like to remind you that this situation means a secret invasion for the country in question.
As a result, we have hundreds of years of labor in those lands, and we have many cognates and co-religionists still living." Erdogan said, adding that it is their duty to feel sorry for the developments on their behalf.
Erdogan said, "We would like to remind Greece, its Prime Minister and President, who are uncomfortable with the use of the word Turkish in the name of any association or school in Western Thrace, come to your senses. Do you think the support you get from America and Europe will save you? It will not save you. You just skate, it doesn't do anything else." he said.
