The works on the stadium of the Panthrakikos Stadium starts

A new chapter for the sporting landscape of our region has recently opened, as the necessary upgrade and renovation works have begun at the National Panthraki Stadium stadium of Komotini.

The Vice-Regional Governor of Rodopi, Nikos Tsalikidis, expressed the regional authority's determination to support the sports community and promote local sporting activity.

The Panthraki Stadium is an important meeting and sports centre for the local and wider region. Planned works include the renewal, improvement and upgrading of the facilities.

The Vice-Regional Governor Mr. Tsalikidis commented : "Supporting sport and creating modern sports facilities is a priority for our regional administration. The Panthraki Stadium has a history deeply linked to local sport and we are determined to ensure that it offers the best conditions for athletes and spectators".

Accompanied by Stadium President Vassilis Gavriilides, he met with the Secretary General of Sports George Mavrotas, underlining the importance of the projects and asking for the necessary financial support for their immediate implementation.

The start of the works at the Panthraki Stadium stadium is an important initiative for the development of sport and culture in Rhodope. The regional authority is committed to ensuring the successful completion of the projects and the upgrading of the sports facilities for the benefit of all citizens.

The works are expected to be completed in October, to be handed over for use by the teams' athletes and sportspeople.
