Hooligans appear in court
Those arrested in connection with the bloody riots in the Nea Filadelfia area of Athens, which resulted in the death of a 29-year-old AEK fan, were brought to the Evelpidon school court.
The detainees, mostly Croatian, were brought to the court under intense security measures.
While it is stated that the file related to the case has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office, a criminal prosecution is expected to include serious offences related to the incidents.
According to the police statement, a total of 104 people involved in the incidents were arrested. According to the information on ERT, 94 of the 100 people taken to Evelpidon are Croatian and 6 are Greek.
Meanwhile, it is estimated that at least 50 people involved in the incidents have not yet been caught. Police searches continue in hotels and Airbnbs in Attica region as well as highways and border areas.
