Final 8 of the 39th Greek U18 Women’s Basketball Championship begins today in Xanthi
For the next five days, Xanthi becomes the heart of Greek women’s basketball, as it hosts the Final 8 of the 39th Panhellenic U18 Women’s Basketball Championship from April 23 to April 27, 2025, at the “Filippos Amoiridis” Indoor Gymnasium.
Over 80 young female athletes, eight top teams, and one trophy—this prestigious youth tournament promises five days filled with passion, talent, and competitive spirit.
The finalists competing for the national title are:
Group A: Panathlitikos, Kronos Agiou Dimitriou, Iraklis Kozanis, Apollon Patras
Group B: Panathinaikos, Esperides Kallitheas, Herodotos, Anorthosi Volou
The Panhellenic U18 Final 8 is one of the most important youth sports events in Greece, serving as a platform to showcase the future stars of women’s basketball. It offers athletes valuable game experience, national exposure, and an opportunity for high-level competition.
The tournament is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) in collaboration with the Municipality of Xanthi, highlighting the essential role of local government in supporting developmental sports initiatives.
