The Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou, participated in the Innovent Forum held in Larissa, where he stressed that in 2025 Greece will have its first satellites.

"Greece has developed a very important strategy with microsatellites that will be launched in the last quarter of 2025 with the aim of having accurate information on a range of solutions," Papastergiou said, referring to the upgrade of the country's digital policy.

He noted that with the new program there will be the possibility "to have as a country much better and more narrowly focused information on natural disasters, on agricultural crops, on water quality, on land use planning, and on urban planning, etc." Papastergiou referred to the digitalisation of the state and the issues of bureaucracy, describing the changes that are taking place in this area.
