When does the “Personal Doctor” application start?

In Greece, as of July 1, the compulsory "Personal Doctor" system is introduced for those over the age of 16.

Doctor selection will be made from public or self-employed doctors through an electronic platform.

Registrations can be made personally or by personal doctors via Taxisnet passwords.

According to the published data, it is foreseen that 2 thousand patients per doctor.

Those who have previously chosen the family doctor do not need to take any action.

Changing doctors will be done once a year.

An appointment will be made within 30 days for simple controls of the patients. For emergencies, there is no need for an appointment.

Emergency situations will be intervened in public hospitals.
