Velopoulos still opposes “Made in Turkiye” masks

President of the Greek Solution Party, Kyriakos Velopoulos, presented a question to the parliament about the "Made in Turkiye" masks used in the parliament and Xanthi State Hospital.

Velopoulos, in his question to the Minister of Health Plevris, asked the ministry to share detailed information about the "Made in Turkiye" masks used in the parliament and Xanthi State Hospital.

In his question to the Ministry of Health on February 4, Velopoulos used the title "Unacceptable practice for masks supplied in Xanthi Hospital". He continues his statement by saying; “According to the information received from industrial workers based in Xanthi, the use of medical masks produced in Turkey in Xanthi Hospital caused a sensation both between themselves and in the wider part of the city.”

Velopoulos claimed that by buying masks from outside, was unfair to the producers in the region who donated their mask to the Intensive Care Unit in Xanthi State Hospital (although closed).

He described the practice in question as unacceptable.

Velopoulos stated that the people in question, who learned that the same masks were also used in the Greek Parliament, felt "shame" about this situation.

He evaluated the statements made by the parliament on the subject such as "we made a tender, this company gave the best price, and we made the supply from there “as” a knife-edge".

In the light of the information given above, Velopoulos, posed 2 questions as follow:

1. Do you plan to share detailed information about the procurement of masks produced in Turkey and used at Xanthi State Hospital?
