Türkiye thanks Greece for Humanitarian aid
In the letter he shared on KEDE's website, Şahin emphasized that the Greek search and rescue teams were among the first to give aid to save those who were under the rubble in the earthquake disaster that took place in Türkiye on February 6th.
Expressing their satisfaction with the messages of solidarity they received from their colleagues in Greece, Şahin said, “It was extremely pleasing to hear that KEDE organized a solidarity campaign among its members with the support of the Greek people.”
Confirming that all the aid sent from Greece reached the Iskenderun Port, Şahin conveyed his condolences for the train accident that took place in Greece on the night of February 28 and where 57 people lost their lives.
In its announcement, KEDE noted that over 1,500 tons of aid collected by the Greek people through all municipalities across the country was delivered to earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria.
