Turkey’s weapons in the Greek media
Turkey’s unique and domestic weapons manufactured in last years and S-400s which are going to be bought keep taking place in the Greek TV.
Greece was irritated as much as the USA, because of Turkey’s owning the S-400 rocket system.
Skai TV discussed Turkey’s S-400s after declaring BORA rockets on the live broadcast. According to the comments on the broadcasts, the S-400s which will be placed in the region will consolidate the dominance of Turkey in the field.
While the national weapons manufactured by Turkey increases the military advantage in the region, the fact is interpreted by Greece as a limitation of the movement.
By limiting the movement area there is a panic atmosphere emerged. Thus, the media seeking for rating presents the “Turkish Threat” in a way of Turkish hate and causes worry among people.
Especially in the last weeks, while this topic is debated in Athens, this worry also appears on TV programmes. On live broadcasts, Turkey’s dominance of the field is admitted by discussing the air defense system and military power.
The Greek Skai TV has stated that “how possible can it be not to fear” from Turkey’s military power, in its previous broadcast.
It is also known that there is no broadcast policy by Turkey in a related topic, while in Greece “The Turkish Threat” continues remaining as agenda topic.
