Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Ministry's Risk Assessment Committee convened on Sunday on the two cold fronts that will hit the country, starting from Sunday.

In the meeting participated Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Vassilis Kikilias, Deputy Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Evangelos Tournas, the general secretary of Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou, the chief of the Fire Brigade, vice general Theodoros Vagias, the chief Crises Management Coordination Centre Lieutenant General Dimitrios Briolas and the members of the Risk Assessment Committee Efthimios Lekkas, Theodoros Kolydas, Dimitris Ziakopoulos and Christina Souzi.

According to the updated weather report issued on Sunday by the National Meteorological Service, the country will be hit by two cold fronts, one on Sunday and the second on Monday and Tuesday.

The special characteristics of the cold fronts will be the high drop in temperatures (up to 10C) and the snowfall mostly in the eastern parts of the country, from Thessaly and southern.
Strong winds will blow in the Aegean and heavy rain and rainstorms will hit the south coastal parts of the country.
