The Mayor of Xanthi, Manolis Tsepelis, had a special meeting on Monday in his office. He welcomed students and teachers from foreign schools who visit our area this week.
Teachers and students from Portugal, Croatia, Turkey and France, who visit our city, in the framework of the "Erasmus" Educational Program, entitled "Playing with Math", implemented by the 10th Primary School of Xanthi. The Program explores enjoyable teaching methods of Mathematics, but also their relationship with the other Sciences.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Education Panagiotis Ambrosiadis, the Principal Periklis Kalogiannis and teachers of the 10th Primary School, as well as the person in charge of the Program, Georgia Levaki.
The Mayor welcomed visitors, noting that culture and education can enhance development and build true friendship between peoples.
"We want you to be the ambassadors of our city in your countries," he said. Remember that this city welcomed you with love and that here an open embrace will always be waiting for you ".
