Poll: ND holds double-digit lead
Ruling New Democracy maintains a clear double-digit lead over PASOK despite slight losses following recent farm subsidy investigations, according to a new opinion poll.
The survey by ALCO for Alpha TV shows Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s party at 23.8%, down from 25.1% in March. PASOK rose modestly to 12%, up from 10.8%, but the gap between the two remains substantial.
The right-wing Greek Solution ranks third with 8.6%, while the Communist Party of Greece and Course of Freedom recorded slight declines at 6.8% and 6.3% respectively.
SYRIZA trails at 4.6%, with a significant 18.6% of respondents undecided.
The poll also found widespread dissatisfaction with the government’s performance on transparency and efficiency. Respondents expressed concern that tensions involving the United States and Israel and their strikes on Iran could further worsen the cost of living in Greece.
