PLF form to be abolished
In line with the recommendation of the Experts Committee of the Ministry of Health, the PLF form requested from passengers entering Greece from all countries is finally being removed.
In line with the recommendation of the Expert Committee of the Ministry of Health, the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) required from passengers and visitors entering Greece will be removed as of March 15, 2022.
The commission also made recommendations on the tours organized. The Commission proposed that the capacity of tour buses be increased from 85% to 100% by Saturday, March 5, 2022, while the protection measures (natural ventilation and mask use) remain unchanged.
According to the new special health protocol for the operation of tourist accommodation facilities and hotels, cooperation with a doctor or health institution working in accordance with EODY regulations for COVID-19 supervision in accommodations with 50 rooms or more will be required.
The Commission also recommended:
- Providing disposable gloves to the personnel working in the cleaning department and to those working in the kitchen,
- Removal of single-use gloves for tourists in the buffet section, and the use of disinfectant
- Removal of disposable tablecloths and surface cleaning with a steam device at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius.
The new protocol for the operation of touristic accommodation facilities will take effect as soon as it is published in the Official Newspaper.
"The adoption of the new health protocol for tourism companies puts Greece ahead of the competition," said Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias in a statement regarding the new health protocol, which has a strong link to tourism. “We are ready to host our guests with confidence for another year," he said.
