Nikos Hardalias announces bid for second term as Attica governor
Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias has confirmed his intention to seek re-election in 2028, signaling that a second term would also mark the conclusion of his political career.
In an interview with Real News, Hardalias stressed that his role in regional administration is not a stepping stone for a return to national politics. “In 2028, I am seriously considering putting myself once again before the citizens of Attica, for them to decide whether I should continue and complete my plan with a second term,” he said.
He added that if re-elected, this would be his final station in politics, underscoring his belief that a political career should have clear limits.
