New Democracy leads latest poll as ELAS ranks second

Greece’s ruling New Democracy (ND) remains the country’s leading political force with 25.7% support, according to a new GPO opinion poll, while ELAS has moved into second place with 14.5%.
The survey indicates a decline in support for PASOK, which has fallen to third place, while the political movement associated with Maria Karystianou also recorded lower backing compared with previous polling.
The findings suggest that New Democracy continues to maintain a comfortable lead despite growing competition among opposition parties. The poll also reflects an increasingly fragmented political landscape, with several parties competing for influence ahead of the next parliamentary elections.
The survey was conducted by polling firm GPO and published by Greek media on July 13.
