Loverdos announces the formation of a party from the Evros bridge

Loverdos described the "DIMOKRATES" party, which aims to participate in the EP elections, as "patriotic, popular, politically liberal, reformist, modernist...".

Loverdos said that he founded the new party to fight for Greece's strong presence in Europe, to implement reforms and to improve the country's welfare.

"We are Greeks in a United Europe. We will fight for our country and for the European Union, for a Europe of citizens." Andreas Loverdos said that it was not a coincidence that he announced the foundation of the "Democrats" party from Evros over the Evros bridge.

Loverdos said, "...I am at the border to send a message from a place where we recently repelled an invasion attempt (in 2020). This is an important message for Europeans. We must fight for the rebirth of the European Union in unity and confidence."
