Kasidiaris on the stand today for preaching hatred from prison
According to the docket, the man convicted of belonging to and directing a criminal organisation will sit in the dock facing charges of public incitement to violence or hatred, in public and via the internet, on a continuous basis, and spreading false news on a continuous basis.
A year after his conviction and transfer to Domokos Prison where he is being held, Ilias Kasidiaris was tested for violating prison regulations.
The Council of Domokos Prison decided to control the prisoner during telephone communication and only with persons for whom he has permission to visit in person or communicate electronically (skype), namely relatives up to the fourth degree and lawyers, something that apparently was not observed and as a result he was prosecuted.
Ilias Kasidiaris is serving a sentence of 13 years and six months in prison.
