Hooded attackers destroy the office of ND MP Pappas in Thessaloniki

Three unidentified individuals wearing hoodies invaded the office of New Democracy MP Fanis Pappas in Thessaloniki on Friday afternoon.

The office was closed at the time, following the earlier conclusion of the rally commemorating the victims of the Tempi train tragedy. From the closed-circuit television footage, the unidentified hooded, one woman and two men, appear to be breaking the door with a sledgehammer, entering, and destroying all the equipment. "They smashed everything. They didn't leave anything. They broke windows, destroyed computers, printers, and even the office. Following this, the strangers threw flyers and left," Pappas told ANA-MPA.

The attack was condemned in a statement by the ND, which also urged all political parties to do the same. "Democracy is not being terrorized, New Democracy is not being intimidated," the statement of the ND said.
