The extreme Christian Orthodox and Metropolitan of Piraeus Seraphim, who did not fall off the agenda with hate speech towards Muslims and Turks living in Greece, published an article targeting the prophet Muhammad, whom the the Muslim Turkish Minority in Western Thrace loved more than their lives.
In his article, which could be described as a profanity rather than an article, considered the oath of the Muslim Turkish Minority deputies in the Greek Parliament over the Koran as a disgrace to a betrayal against Greece and the Greek Orthodox faith with a justification that the Ottomans had enslaved, raped and massacred the Greek Orthodox people for 400 years.
In the Western world, centuries of orientalist studies, Muhammad was slandered and many insulting words were used. For him, insulting words such as "sick", "false prophet", "pervert" and "antichrist" were spoken. This attitude continues today.
The final example of this insult to Muhammad, which includes such statements, was exhibited by Piraeus Metropolitan Seraphim, who was directly subordinated to the Patriarch Bartholomew, who was subject to the Istanbul Greek Patriarchate.
Seraphim's hatred of Islam and prophet Muhammad will not be neither the first nor the last. In his article published on the news website www.romfea.gr, which is a hater of Turkish and Islamic people, Muhammad is described as a "womanizer" and as a “pervert“. Metropolitan who is understood to be an expert in insulting the Prophet, cited the verses of the Holy Qur'an, translated into Greek and gave examples as it suits in order to call the Prophet "a false prophet, women-fond Arab merchant", and Islam as a "humic mixture and religious acceptance".
The racist metropolitan, who knows no limits in insulting Islam, stated that 3 elected deputies of Western Thrace Muslim Turks who swore on the Qur'an in the Greek Parliament also swore on a false religion dealing with the sexual perversity and nonsense of this false prophet” also revealed his discomfort and indigestion.
Metropolitan who dedicate this article -which can be called as profanity- to 3 Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority MPs swearing on the Qur'an in the Greek Parliament and those who allowed the construction of the mosque in Athens stressed that the mosque built in Athens and the imam to be placed here are the masjid and imam of this “false religion that deals with the sexual perversity and nonsense of the false prophet”.
Seraphim, whose provocative rhetoric towards Muslims and especially the Western Thrace Turkish Minority, posed a clear threat to the peace and peace of the country. Serafim cited the mufti offices in Thrace as the reason for one of the statements that the Tsipras government opposed to its attempts to separate church-state relations. "If it turns into unions subject to private law, then the Greek state will not be able to appoint the muftis, the Muslim minority, the Komotini Consulate and therefore Ankara will determine them. Thrace will soon become Kosovo. These are the dire consequences of such a neutral and not so deeply analyzed decision." he said.
Seraphim, in a statement he made in 2017 called the President of Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to become a Christian.
