Greek shipowner Marios Iliopoulos met with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Binali Yıldırım. Iliopoulos donated 1 million euros to earthquake victims to express his support for Türkiye.

Marios Iliopoulos, one of the leading businessmen of Greece, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Binali Yıldırım on February 15 in Ankara. Greek shipowner Marios Iliopoulos donated 1 million euros to support those affected by the earthquake on behalf of the giant company Seajets, which has a network of cruise ships, and on his behalf.

Iliopoulos said, "Tens of thousands of our people lost their lives in the severe earthquake that hit Kahramanmaraş, and many more are suffering due to this disaster today. In the name of solidarity, love, respect, and humanity, we offer 1 million euros to support the families who are homeless. Greece and Türkiye are the geographical regions of the two countries. Considering their position, with the advantage of history and diplomacy, together within the framework of friendship, they are capable of being the power of the Eastern Mediterranean.
