Greek Left Alliance accuses Mitsotakis government of 102 scandals
The event, titled "The Mitsotakis Seven-Year Period – Seven Years of Lies, Lost Opportunities and Corruption," was held at the Journalists' Union of Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA). ELAS spokesperson Theoni Koufonikolakou said the party would pursue investigations into major cases if it comes to power.
Responding to questions from journalists, Koufonikolakou said ELAS would seek thorough reviews of issues including the wiretapping affair, the OPEKEPE agricultural subsidy case, the Tempi rail disaster, and the management of Recovery and Resilience Facility funds.
"We are committed to carrying out investigations and assigning responsibility wherever wrongdoing is established," she said.
The party's list includes allegations related to the Predator spyware surveillance case, the 2023 Tempi train collision, the OPEKEPE subsidy investigation, the government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, police misconduct, media funding, public procurement, judicial and institutional reforms, and various cases involving current and former government officials.
The presentation represents the opposition party's political assessment of the Mitsotakis administration. Many of the cases cited remain the subject of ongoing judicial proceedings, parliamentary inquiries or political debate, while others concern policy decisions that have been strongly criticized by opposition parties.
