Greek businessman Christos Gialias first shot with an AK-47, then burned!
In the suburb of Mandra in Western Attica, Greece, a burnt body was found, believed to be that of Christos Gialias, a businessman known for his links to the football world.
According to Kathimerini, police went to Agias Aikaterinis Street on Wednesday after receiving a report of gunshots. Police officers saw a car on fire with people inside.
According to the investigators, the two assailants shot Gialias with an AK-47 while he was in his car. The assailants then threw the gun into the car Gialias was in and set it on fire.
A second car, believed to have been used by the attackers to reach the scene of the crime, was also set on fire. The attackers fled the scene on a motorbike.
According to official records, Gialias' criminal record included offences related to drug and arms trafficking.
Gialias' wife was also shot at her home in Mandra in 2018.
