Greece to appoint a special representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

It has been reported that Greece has decided to appoint an OIC Special Representative to work on the issues that Turkey will bring to the agenda within the framework of the OIC.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias made a statement to the journalists after meeting with his counterpart Sami Shukri in Cairo as part of his visit to Egypt.

Dendias stated that during his contacts there, the Russia-Ukraine War and the food and energy crisis that occurred after it were discussed; regional issues such as Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean were also discussed.

Dendias thanked Egypt for its support to Greece within the framework of the OIC.

"We agreed on the appointment of a special representative of Greece to deal with the issues that Turkey will bring to the agenda within the framework of this organization, in cooperation with friendly countries such as Egypt, which clearly sees the motives behind Turkey's draft resolutions." he said.
