Greece defines eligible mutual funds for Golden Visa investments

According to a recent decision by the Ministry of Development, four funds are now officially eligible for the scheme:

  • Alpha Blue Chips Greek Equity Fund, managed by Alpha Asset Management
  • GF Hellas Invest Mixed Fund, managed by Eurobank Asset Management
  • 3K Mixed Fund, managed by 3K Investment Partners
  • Apeiron Ventures Private Equity Fund, overseen by Apeiron Ventures Capital Partners

Golden Visa Framework

Launched in 2013, Greece’s Golden Visa program grants five-year residence permits to third-country nationals who invest in the country through real estate, business ventures, or financial instruments. The permits are renewable as long as investment conditions are maintained, and they extend to the investor’s spouse, children under 21, and parents. Holders also enjoy visa-free travel across the Schengen Zone without the obligation of permanent residence in Greece.

Regulatory Updates

The program’s legal framework has been updated under the Migration Code, most recently through Law 5038/2023 and its 2024 amendments. These reforms are designed to attract foreign capital, enhance transparency, and support Greece’s economic growth.

Investors can apply for residence types “B.4” and “B.6,” which cover high-value investments in Greek companies, funds, and government bonds. Applications are initially assessed by the Ministry of Development and Investments, with final approvals issued by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.
