The election of the new leadership of the UN Tourism will take place on 29-30 May in Madrid.
Harry Theoharis, as Minister of Tourism, played a pivotal role in revitalising the tourism sector following the pandemic covid-19.
His tenure was marked by reforms, including sustainability initiatives, digital transformation, and administrative modernisation. He aims to extend these reforms within UN Tourism.
Theocharis said in a statement that the elections to the UN Tourism represent a great opportunity, a decisive step towards shaping the future of global tourism.
