The interest of the members of the government and the EU has attracted the Scientific Conference "INVESTMENT - DEVELOPMENT PLANNING & ADMINISTRATION OF ECONOMIC VALUES IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT" "Klisthenis" and the Forum Training & Consulting of the Local Government Executives. Petsas and Scihnas is expected to participate to the conferece.
The beginning of the work of the Plenary Session, on Friday, May 13, at 9:00 am, at the Municipal Amphitheater will be honored by their presence of the Minister of Interior for Local Government Affairs Stelios Petsas, the European Commissioner for the Promotion of our European Lifestyle and Vice-President of the European Commission of the European Union Margaritis Schoinas, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, responsible for Demographic and Family Affairs (online), the Deputy Minister of Tourism Sofia Zacharaki, the Deputy Minister in charge of State Aid & Rehabilitation from Natural Disasters, Hristos Triantopoulos and the Diplomatic Representative of the UNICEF Office in Greece.
As the municipality of Xanthi points out as the organizer, "the Conference is planned at a critical period for the Local Government and has focused its work on the organizational and administrative changes brought about by the institutional changes of 2019-2021 in the Local Government of the country, dealing with the effects of the pandemic and in preparing for the new investment and financial horizons that are opening up dynamically.

Elected Speakers and Coordinators and technocrats -Mayors, General Secretaries of Municipalities & Executive Secretaries of Regions, Deputy Mayors, Members of Municipal Councils, Scientific and Special Advisors and Collaborators of Local Authorities- Service Executives of Local Government is expected to participate.
The Pre-Conference Events held on Thursday 12 May at the Municipal Amphitheater.
The Mayor of Xanthi Manolis Tsepelis, referring to this important event that the city of Xanthi is preparing to host, noted the role played by valid and timely information for a better and more efficient administration: "Through information it is possible to improve the organization of services of the municipalities - a process that will be reflected with a positive sign in the local communities ", he underlined and called on the local authorities as well as the executive potential of the local authorities to actively participate in the Conference.
