Finally return to normalcy on Sunday but!

Covid-19 vaccination certificates will no longer be required for entry at indoor spaces as of Sunday, May 1.  Return to normalcy as of Sunday, but wearing face masks in indoor spaces to stay in effect until end of May.

Coffee, food and entertainment venues are among the indoor spaces affected by the measure of suspending the certificate requirement for indoor seating. The measure is also suspended for tourists, who were required to show the EUDCC certificate of vaccination when entering Greece.

In addition, the number of mandatory weekly rapid self-tests for unvaccinated workers and for school and university teachers is reduced from two to one per week, whereas staff in hospitals and care facilities for the elderly will still have to present two tests a week.

Accompanying the new measures is the return of all venues to 100% seating capacity, while students in all school grades will not have to perform self-diagnostic tests to attend classes.

According to the health ministry's committee of medical experts, wearing masks in indoor spaces will remain in effect at least until the end of May. Masks are still recommended for crowded outdoor spaces also.
